Author Guidelines

JIKI: Jurnal Ilmu Komputer dan Informasi

1. General Information

JIKI publishes original research articles in computer science, information systems, and related fields. The journal emphasizes applied, analytical, and computational contributions with clear methodological rigor and practical relevance. Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

2. Manuscript Structure

JIKI adopts a flexible scientific structure (non-IMRAD), but manuscripts must follow a clear logical flow as commonly observed in published articles.

Title & Abstract:

1. Title

• Concise and specific
• Use Title Case

2. Author Information

• Full name(s)
• Affiliation(s)
• Email(s)
• Corresponding author (if applicable)

3. Abstract

• Single paragraph (150–250 words)
• Must include:
  • Background/context
  • Objective
  • Method/approach
  • Key results (preferably quantitative)
  • Contribution

4. Keywords

• 3–5 keywords

Main Content Sections

Authors may structure the manuscript using the following sections:

1. Introduction

• Background and motivation
• Problem statement
• Research gap
• Objectives
• Contribution

2. Related Work / Literature Review

• Prior studies and theories
• Critical comparison
• Identification of research gap

(Either “Related Work” or “Literature Review” is acceptable)

3. Methodology / Research Method

• Research design
• Data collection
• Model / framework
• Tools or algorithms

4. Results and Discussion

• Findings
• Analysis and interpretation
• Comparison with prior studies
• Implications

5. Additional Sections (Optional)

Depending on the research topic:

• System Architecture
• Implementation

3. Section Numbering

• Use numbered headings:
  1. Introduction

  2. Related Work

     2.1, 2.2, etc.

4. Figures and Tables

• Must be numbered sequentially
• Caption format:
  • Figure 1. Description
  • Table 1. Description
• Must be referenced in the text

5. Citation and References

JIKI uses the IEEE citation style.

In-text citation:

• [1], [2]
• Multiple: [2], [5]

Reference list:

• Ordered numerically
• Example:

[1] A. Author, “Title,” Journal Name, vol. X, no. X, pp. xx–xx, year.

6. Writing Style

• Language: English
• Clear and concise academic writing
• Avoid unnecessary verbosity
• Emphasize:
  • Technical clarity
  • Logical flow
  • Quantitative evidence

7. Formatting

• Paper size: A4
• Font: Times New Roman
• Font size: 10 pt (body), 8 pt (caption)
• Single spacing
• Two-column format

8. Submission Requirements

Authors must submit:

• Full manuscript (Word or Latex)
• Author details
• Abstract and keywords
• Figures and tables embedded

9. Review Process

• Double-blind peer review
• At least two reviewers
• Evaluation criteria:
